About the project

A more expressive interior language — combining bold focal elements with softer neutral tones to create a space that feels both playful and grounded.

The direction of the palette was initially inspired by the client's preference for richer, more expressive tones, which became the starting point for developing a space with a stronger sense of identity and character.

The living room

Built-in joinery and curated furnishings establish rhythm and visual depth

Deep blue alcove shelving flanks a statement yellow fireplace surround, with floral wallpaper panels backing the shelves to add pattern and softness. Brass wall sconces and a glass pendant chandelier layer warm, diffused light across the room.

The modular blue sofa, gold-fluted coffee table, and curated artwork create a composition that feels collected over time rather than assembled at once — warm, atmospheric, and distinctly personal.

The kitchen

Bold colour grounded by pattern, texture, and natural materials

Mustard-yellow cabinetry with brass cup-pull handles sits below an olive-toned feature wall, creating a warm, enveloping kitchen space. An arabesque tile backsplash introduces pattern and handcrafted texture, while open timber shelving displays ceramics and glassware with a curated, lived-in quality.

A retro-styled SMEG fridge, patterned blue-and-white floor tiles in the kitchen zone, and a walnut dining table with upholstered chairs bring the kitchen and dining areas into a cohesive, welcoming whole.

Bold where it matters. Quiet where it counts.

The entrance

Character from the first step — pattern, warmth, and a welcoming atmosphere

A blue-and-cream striped wallpaper wraps the entrance, setting the tone immediately. Herringbone timber flooring runs throughout, providing continuity from hallway to living space. A walnut bench with an iron coat rail and a faceted glass ceiling light introduce a sense of curated detail without excess.

Diffused lighting and muted tones soften the stronger gestures, creating a warm and atmospheric environment with a lived-in character that extends through every room.
